Meet Sloan
Biography
At the very young age of 3, Sloan recognized horses were her passion. She was committed to training and began showing at the age of 9 accompanied by her pony, Pablo. She quickly advanced to her first horse, Jesse James, who took her love of show jumping to the next level. Her mount Colin (show name Centurion) advanced her to the Grand Prix level at which she has had much success. Sloan has been fortunate to train under some of the best in the industry including Richard Spooner, Marcia “Mousie” Williams, Anne Kursinski, Philippe Le Jeune, Katie Prudent, Nayel Nassar, Michael Endicott and Christopher Fellers.
She has competed internationally in the Global Champion Tours in London, Ecurie de Happeau in Incourt Belgium and Knokke Hippique in Knokke Belgium. Sloan takes pride in her natural ability and feel to get on any horse and develop their strengths, making her an exceptionally diverse rider. The same skills that make her a great equestrian, define her perfectionist, focused and competitive personality. Sloan lives by the motto: "Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game" (Babe Ruth).
